Facebook Creator Studio brings together all the tools you need to effectively post, manage, monetise and measure content across all your Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts. It’s like gathering all your scheduling, engagement and analytics tools for all the Business Pages you manage on both platforms and putting them all in one place.
This may sound overwhelming but it’s not! You can select which pages/accounts/businesses you want to focus on by clicking the cluster of Pages at the top of the screen. This allows you to only see information about pages you want to take action on.
Anyone who manages a Page can use Creator Studio, although your Page role determines the specific information you see and the actions you can take.
One of the benefits of Creator Studio is that it will offer you personalised tips on how to grow your audience depending on your activity on the page.
To access Creator Studio go to www.facebook.com/CreatorStudio or go to your Facebook Page, go to “Publishing Tools” and under “Tools” click on “Creator Studio.”
The Home tab in Creator Studio contains a feed of posts from selected Pages, some basic insights into your content and a composer where you can create content and post it to any of your Pages.
Depending on the Pages you manage and the products or programmes that you are part of, you will see a variation of this Home tab example. The Home tab is unique to you and the Pages you manage. However, the popular features are:
- Top priorities
Priorities to act upon, including account issues, key communications and content updates.
- Posts timeline
A feed of your content, based on the Page or Pages you’ve selected.
- Onboarding cards
New products or programmes that you’re eligible for. Click on the cards to initiate the onboarding or application process.
- Post details
High-level insights for the selected Pages you are viewing, as well as a summary of posts.
Posting In Creator Studio
You can publish direct or schedule content for any of your Facebook or Instagram Business Pages (as long as you have the authority to do so). You can also bulk upload multiple videos at once and crosspost to multiple pages.
Create a post for Instagram by either uploading an image or clicking the ‘From Facebook Page’ option which allows you to post content that you’ve already shared on your Facebook. Creator Studio also allows you to simultaneously post content to the Facebook Page that is connected to your Instagram account, by just ticking a box! After you have published to Instagram you can also add additional details to the post before publishing to Facebook – saving time and making the content creation and scheduling much smoother.
Instagram in Creator Studio
In order to manage your Instagram Page within Creator Studio you must have an Instagram Business Profile and link your Instagram account with a Facebook Business Page.
The Instagram section in Creator Studio lets you manage all of your Instagram posts and get insights from a desktop. Edit or delete existing posts and share Instagram posts to your Facebook page. Plus you have the ability to tag others before you post.
Managing Instagram Posts in Creator Studio
- You have access to all your photos, carousels, videos, IG Stories and IGTV content.
- You can see how your posts are performing and learn what’s working and what’s not.
- You are able to search for content and use filters to quickly organise it.
Exploring Instagram insights
- You’ll be able to identify your type of audience. You will be able to see who your followers are (age, gender, location) and when they’re most active.
- You can see what actions people take when they engage with your content.
- From the analytics you can study the reach and total impressions of your content.
From the Rights Manager tab, you can protect your copyrighted Facebook and Instagram content at scale by detecting audio and video content matching yours.
The Sound Collection section gives you access to free, legal music and sound effects that you can use in your videos.
The Inbox Feature
You can keep on top of what’s going on across all the platforms you manage. The Inbox catches all the active engagement, comments and direct messages. Also included in the Inbox feature is the ability to tag communications with labels – allowing you to mark messages as ‘unread’ ‘follow up’ ‘done’ and spam, meaning that you can prioritise on the urgent tasks and unactioned messages should fall through the net!
What’s great about the Inbox is that it allows you to respond to Instagram comments. If you’re a brand with a big following, this would enable you to stay on top of all of your engagement, which can sometimes be a challenge in the mobile app!
None of features or options are unique to Creator Studio, they can all be accessed elsewhere within Facebook. However, what you’ll find is that Creator Studio allows you to focus on just your Pages and you won’t be distracted by the busy and noisy interruptions that occur when working with Facebook itself.
